Prairie-Style Townhouse
This 1979 townhouse in Seattle was designed by an architect who trained with Frank Lloyd Wright and is filled with period details. The owners, both architects, focused on designing a kitchen remodel that met modern needs but looked original to the home. Their goal was to create a more functional space with effortless flow and add a compact wet bar to the rear of the kitchen.
The townhouse features many acute angles and small spaces; in many ways this kitchen functions like a boat with its narrow and unusual spaces and so many elements needed to fit in tight spaces customized for this home.
A standout element is the invisible induction stove, creating an effortless transition between counter and cooktop.
Our team took on selective deconstruction, electrical and plumbing upgrades, tile & countertop install.
